Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PixelPix collects, why it is used, when it is shared with service providers, and how you can request access or deletion. “PixelPix,” “we,” and “us” refer to the PixelPix service and its operator.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in, we collect your email address, account identifier, authentication records, and related timestamps. PixelPix uses email one-time codes and does not ask you to create or store a PixelPix password.

Online projects

When you save to My Library, we store your project title, canvas size, frame and pixel data, preview thumbnail, owner identifier, and creation or modification timestamps. Projects kept only on your device are not uploaded unless you use an online or AI feature.

AI activity

When you request AI Retouch, the selected artwork, chosen style, and any custom prompt are sent for processing. PixelPix records operational metadata such as your account identifier, model, style, request status, quota use, short error information, and timestamps. PixelPix does not intentionally store prompts or source and generated artwork in its AI request log.

Feedback and diagnostics

If you send feedback, we receive your message, feedback type, optional reply email, app version, page, browser and device details, viewport size, project title, canvas size, frame count, and submission time. Automated client error reports may include a sanitized error message, operation name, app version, page path without query parameters, browser information, and timestamp. Error reporting is designed to remove common email addresses, tokens, prompts, and image data.

Local device data

PixelPix may use browser storage for authentication sessions and a local recovery draft. Your browser or device may also keep cached site files. Local data remains under the control of your browser and device.

2. How we use information

Authenticate users and protect accounts.
Save, load, rename, and delete online projects.
Provide AI retouching and enforce usage limits.
Recover interrupted work and prevent accidental loss.
Investigate errors, abuse, security issues, and service performance.
Respond to feedback, support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Comply with applicable law and enforce the Terms of Use.

PixelPix does not currently sell personal information or use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics.

3. AI retouching

AI Retouch sends the selected image and prompt through a PixelPix server function to the OpenAI API. OpenAI processes this content to create the requested output and may process it for safety and abuse prevention. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default, unless the API customer opts in, and that default abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days.

Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, regulated, or personally identifying content to AI Retouch. AI results may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to content produced for others.

4. Service providers

PixelPix relies on the following providers to operate the service:

Supabase for authentication, database storage, server functions, quotas, and operational logs.
OpenAI for AI image processing.
Netlify for website hosting and feedback form storage.
Resend for authentication email delivery.

These providers may process information in countries different from your own and operate under their own privacy terms and security practices.

5. Storage, retention, and security

Online projects and account information are generally kept while your account remains active. AI usage and diagnostic logs are kept as reasonably needed for quotas, security, troubleshooting, and service administration. Feedback is kept while it remains useful for support and product improvement. Some information may remain temporarily in protected backups or be retained when required by law.

PixelPix uses access controls, authenticated requests, database row-level security, HTTPS, and restricted server credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your own exported copies of important artwork.

6. Your choices and rights

You can export your artwork, delete individual online projects, avoid AI Retouch, omit a reply email from feedback, and clear PixelPix site data through your browser. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, restriction, portability, objection, or deletion of personal information.

7. Account and data deletion

PixelPix does not yet have an automatic Delete Account button. You can request deletion by email.

How to request deletion

Export any projects you want to keep before requesting deletion.
Email computists@gmail.com with the subject PixelPix account deletion.
Send the request from the same email address used for your PixelPix account and state whether you want the account, online projects, or both deleted.
Allow us to verify the request. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days unless retention is required for security, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Account deletion is intended to remove your authentication account, online projects, and related records that can reasonably be linked to you. Aggregated or de-identified information may remain. To remove local recovery or cached data, clear the site data for pixelpix.win in your browser after signing out.

8. Children

PixelPix is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

PixelPix may update this policy as the alpha develops or legal and service requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated when material changes are published.
